Need help with Marshy? We're here to help you get the most out of the app.

Getting Started

1. Download and Sign Up

Download Marshy from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Sign up using your phone number or email address to create your account.

2. Add Your Friends

Find friends by searching their username, importing contacts, or sharing your unique Marshy link. Send friend requests and wait for them to accept.

3. Wait for the Daily Notification

Every day at a random time, you'll receive a notification. You have 2 minutes to capture and share your moment with your friends.

4. View Friends' Photos

Once you post your photo, you can view what your friends shared. React to their moments and stay connected throughout the day.

Common Issues

Not Receiving Notifications

If you're not getting daily notifications:

  • Check that notifications are enabled in your device settings
  • Ensure Marshy has permission to send notifications
  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure you're using the latest version of the app
  • Try logging out and back in

Camera Not Working

If the camera isn't functioning:

  • Check that Marshy has camera permissions in your device settings
  • Restart the app
  • Restart your device
  • Ensure no other app is using the camera
  • Update to the latest app version

Can't Add Friends

If you're having trouble adding friends:

  • Verify you have the correct username
  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure your friend has an active Marshy account
  • Try searching by phone number if you have their contact
  • Use the share link feature instead

Photo Won't Upload

If your photo isn't uploading:

  • Check your internet connection (WiFi or cellular data)
  • Ensure you have enough storage space on your device
  • Try taking the photo again
  • Close and reopen the app
  • Check if you've exceeded any daily limits

App Crashing or Freezing

If the app is unstable:

  • Update to the latest version of Marshy
  • Restart your device
  • Clear app cache (Android) or reinstall (iOS)
  • Check for device OS updates
  • Free up storage space on your device

Login Issues

If you can't log in:

  • Verify you're using the correct phone number or email
  • Check your verification code hasn't expired
  • Request a new verification code
  • Ensure you have internet connectivity
  • Try logging in with a different method (phone vs email)

Account Management

Changing Your Username

Go to Profile → Edit Profile → Username. Note that you can only change your username once every 30 days.

Privacy Settings

Control who can send you friend requests and view your profile in Settings → Privacy. You can make your account private so only approved friends can see your photos.

Deleting Photos

Tap on any photo you've posted, then select Delete. The photo will be permanently removed. Remember, all photos auto-delete after 30 days.

Blocking Users

Go to their profile → Settings icon → Block User. They won't be able to see your content or contact you.
