How does Marshy work?

Marshy is a daily photo sharing app that brings authenticity back to social media. Every day at a random time, you and your friends receive a notification to capture and share a photo of your moment. You have 2 minutes to take an unedited, genuine photo. No filters, no staging - just real life.

Is my content private?

Yes! Your photos are only visible to the friends you add on Marshy. We use end-to-end encryption to protect your content. Your photos are never used for advertising, and we never sell your data to third parties.

Photos are automatically deleted after 30 days, keeping your feed fresh and authentic.

When do I get the daily reminder?

The daily photo reminder is sent at a different random time each day, making every moment spontaneous and genuine. You'll never know exactly when it's coming, which is part of the fun! This ensures you capture real moments, not staged photos.

How do I add friends?

Adding friends is easy:

• Search for friends by username
• Import contacts from your phone
• Share your unique Marshy link
• Scan a friend's QR code

Once you send a friend request, they'll need to accept before you can see each other's photos.

Can I delete my photos?

Absolutely! You can delete any photo you've shared at any time from your profile. Once deleted, it's permanently removed from our servers and your friends can no longer view it. Photos are also automatically deleted after 30 days.

What if I miss the daily notification?

No worries! You can still post later in the day, though you'll see a "late" indicator. We encourage posting within the 2-minute window for the most authentic experience, but we understand life happens. You can always catch up and share your moment.

Is Marshy free?

Yes! Marshy is completely free to use with all core features available to everyone:

We believe authentic social connections should be accessible to everyone. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the core Marshy experience will always remain free.

Can I edit my photos?

No, and that's intentional! Marshy is about capturing authentic, unfiltered moments. The photos you take are shared exactly as captured - no filters, no editing, no retakes. This keeps the platform genuine and takes the pressure off creating "perfect" content.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account anytime from Settings -> Account -> Delete Account. Once deleted, all your photos and data are permanently removed from our servers within 48 hours. This action cannot be undone.
